Muchas veces pensamos en la bioinformática como algo relacionado únicamente con analizar secuencias de ADN, pero hoy el campo ha evolucionado muchísimo más allá.
En el foro del Módulo 1 he publicado un post donde comento tres avances recientes que están transformando la bioinformática, como:
la inteligencia artificial que predice interacciones moleculares (AlphaFold3),
el pangenoma humano, que busca una genómica más representativa,
y los modelos de lenguaje del genoma, una nueva generación de IA que aprende a “leer” el ADN.
Además, encontraréis un pequeño caso para debatir sobre medicina de precisión y equidad en datos genómicos.

We often think of bioinformatics as something mainly related to analyzing DNA sequences, but today the field has evolved far beyond that.
