6. Methodology

MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) are delivered via a distance-learning approach.

As the acronym suggests, this type of training is free, open to all, and delivered online. This means that students must access the platform via the internet, having first registered and enrolled on the course free of charge. Enrolment is open to all and can be done from anywhere, as the course is designed for anyone interested in the subject matter.

Each week, a module will be covered, consisting of learning units, each comprising an introductory video and digital content (assessed), along with a series of activities to be completed, set out in the forums and within the module itself (not assessed).

The resources and materials made available to students have been specifically designed for this course and can be viewed online as and when required.
