We have learned Federico García Lorca sometimes repeats pieces or rewrites his own poems, such as the poem “El regreso” which is part of Suites (1920-1923). We can also find this poem in the play Así que pasen cinco años. Lorca was not the first author to use this resource. Many other authors used repetition and rewriting before, for instance, Cervantes quotes in his most famous novel a piece from Ludovico Ariosto’s Orlando furioso in chapter 13th (first volume) and chapter 66th (second volume).
