There is no doubt that the landscape of Sierra Nevada can perfectly serve as a natural film set. In fact, as you may know, it has already appeared in several movies and series filmed from the late 1950s to the present day. The latest major film production has been The Snow Society, directed by J.A. Bayona and filmed on the ‘Cartujo’ slope in the Laguna de las Yeguas area during the 2021/22 season.

We would like to invite you to share here any movies, series, documentaries… that you know of and that are set in or portray Sierra Nevada and have truly resonated with you, capturing both your eyes and your heart (I personally feel great joy when I recognize a location in the movies or series I watch, especially if it’s Sierra Nevada).

P.S. We also want to share here the leaflet about the mountain cinema series titled The Voice of the Mountain is Never Forgotten, organized by the University Film Club, the National Park, and the Agua Granada Foundation, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Sierra Nevada’s designation as a National Park. One movie has already been shown, another is screening today, and in November, there will be two more.
