One of my favorite songs inspired by Lorca is "Take This Waltz" by Leonard Cohen. It’s based on Lorca’s poem Pequeño vals vienés (Little Viennese Waltz), and Cohen’s haunting, poetic style captures Lorca’s spirit so well. The lyrics, like the original poem, are dreamlike and melancholic, blending romance with surreal imagery.

Here’s a verse that stands out:
"And I'll dance with you in Vienna, I'll be wearing a river's disguise,
The hyacinth wild on my shoulder, my mouth on the dew of your thighs..."

Cohen’s love for Lorca shines in this song, and it’s a perfect example of how Lorca’s genius crosses languages, borders, and genres.

Yes, Pavlo. An incredible composer and singer inspired and influenced by a total artist like Lorca. "Take this waltz" is marvelous, a great version. You can have a look to the spanish related thread where you can find many songs more.
